Flatbed Knitting Machine Operator - 3rd Shift

Regular Schedule: Sunday – Thursday, 10:00 PM - 6:30 AM 
(additional 10% per hour shift differential also added to hourly pay rate!)*

Knit-Rite has an immediate opening in Kansas City, KS for a 2nd Shift Flatbed Machine Operator!

What You’ll Get To Do

Our Flatbed Machine Operators will train in and become proficient in the operation of our knitting machines. Our knitting machines are critical to the operation of our business so it is essential that we have top quality machine operators!  Our operators set up the machines to operate based on the pattern template, which involves placing the correct yarns in each designated spot, tying yarns on, changing needs and jacks, and inspecting products as the come off of the machines.

The Essentials

This role is the essential in the creation of our products!  Without our Flatbed Knitting Machine Operators learning the intricacies of the machines and operating them to the best of their abilities, we would have no products to send to our customers.

While turning yarn into an actual product, our Flatbed Knitting Machine Operators will interact with inspectors and other members of the Knitting Team to ensure that the correct product specifications are being met.  Accuracy and Quality are very important!

If you love problem solving and watching a product be built from start to finish, this is the job for you!

What You’ll Bring

  • High School or equivalent degree
  • Basic Knowledge of computers and mechanical tools
  • Knowledge of calculator is required
  • Knowledge of maintenance tool equipment, knitting tools is preferred.
